She's shooting across the starts in her ship trying to keep a Green Lantern off her tail. This is a huge misunderstanding but she can' get him to listen. How come she can rob and fight with the best of them but the times she tries to do the right thing things get hard.

"This is Red Wing to anyone listening, I need some back up. Got an angry GL on ,my si--- whoa baby!" She barely dances her ship out of the way of another bolt of green. She can see it explode not too far off. Damn it she needs to talk to them!

Why is it no one ever listens? This time she's trying to be good.

"Come on girl," she coos to her ship. "Just keep this up. You're the best darling. Don't let this stick in the mud GL keep us down.... For once it's more than you and me."

She hits the controls again trying to out maneuver the Green Lantern. This is just crazy. How can one angry man keep up with her like this? The Thangarian grits her teeth. No one is going to beat her. Not today! She still has far too much to do.

Despite the warning signs, Avalon doesn't back down, in fact his eyes narrow and he lowers his hand, forgetting about his bloodied face in the wake of her (and his own) rising anger.

"Number one, stop assuming that I am a Thangarian." he hisses. Even though Ava is standing up tall and straight, the angry winged woman is still taller and larger over all than he is. His own wings flare some, though the posturing is different, as is their shape and color. He's most certainly not anything like the woman.

"Number two, I am a Blue Lantern and you were - are - a suspect who was in trouble. I don't care if you could have done anything - I was going to get you out of there and this is how you thank me?"

Showing his teeth savagely now, the young man says "I don't know what kind of rites and other customs you have on your planet, but I have slain my Feartail and earned the right to call myself a man. Do not call me an idiot, nor insinuate that I am some sort of over-grown child."

"I'm not assuming you're a Thangarian but surely you've encountered one before," she pointed out. She could feel her eyebrow twitch. He wasn't backing down and that bothered her and some part of her was thrilled because too many times had she been able to cow people into backing off just because she has an impressive wing span.

And he isn't what she thinks of as tiny. A primal urge to strike him again rises up but she beats it back with a practiced air because she has no time for whatever this is.

"A suspect? For what crime? That idiot who chased me here didn't even bother asking questions! He assumed just as you and your friend did! No one even asked me what I was doing for crying out loud," she snaps. "Do I automatically ping as a a criminal.... I mean yeah I'm technically what some might call a pirate or a smuggler but I was trying to do the right thing! And you idiots start chasing me around and fraking blow up my Baby!"

She hisses at him bearing her teeth. "I wasn't raised on the homeworld but from where I've been? I've been an adult a HELL of a lot longer than you Blue so back the hell off. I don't give a shit if you're the Admiral of the Star Breaker's Fleet or a beggar from the streets or Korlath-Six. I'm sick and tired of idiots who shoot first and ask questions latter."

She pauses in her rant and pulls out a clean cloth from her belt. "I am sorry for breaking your nose though... not exactly what I wanted to do."

His eyes narrow dangerously, and the look is anything but pleasant. It is the expression a well seasoned soldier wears when seeing someone who they see as a threat. "Just because you had a tough life, you have the right to judge me without knowing anything about me?" he challenges.

Still, despite his raging anger and insult, Avalon accepts the cloth and wipes at his nose, all the while watching her. "I don't have the Green Lantern ring, so I don't know the charges." he says, "We're gonna have to wait for my partner to get back here so that he can clear up the charges. You crossed into Sector 2814 while under pursuit by the Green Lantern Corp. We were just doing our job."

"Who said I had a rough life," she challenges? "I've just been around Blue. My life ain't been harder than any other spacer's life."

She's lying about that. She's not going to let anyone know how bad it really was for her. Now many times things tried breaking her because she wasn't someone who wanted to be saved.

"Fine! It's not as if I can go. I'm not leaving my ship? Can we at least go inside so I can check the cargo hold? I want to be sure the fire didn't damage the stuff I'm trying to transport." She gives him a challenging look because if he says no she'll just go in anyways.

"You're lying." he says flatly. He doesn't explain how he knows, however. Going to cross his arms over his chest, he then says "And we are going to wait for Green to get here. There's no way in bloody hell that I'm going back in that ship with you. He'll be here soon enough, and once we sort it all out, we can see to your cargo. There's no oxygen in the atmosphere in there. Nothing is going to damage your cargo."

"Yeah? Well who cares?" She's going to sneer at him. She doesn't like being called out on that. She does though give him a look because her poor ship!

But she knows the medical supplies will be safe. They're packed tight in containers that won't be harmed by a lack of oxygen.

"Fine, fine. I',m just going to warn ya ahead of time I do have a criminal record. Nothing terrible. I'm not a murderer.... I'm just um. A kelpto. I gamble.... and I'm banned from this one planet because I may have gotten tipsy and MAY....I say may 'cause I don't properly remember that weekend.... Offended their culture with some casual nudity." That last part isn't the least bit embarrassing but she's holding back some more.

Like that she's been charged with assault on too many different planets and stations. But Thangarians and fighting go together like white on rice.

Audibly growling, Avalon swipes at his nose in irritation that it's still leaking, and gives her a stern look. "I don't care about priors, all I care about is what you were doing running from the Corps, if all you were doing was transporting something in a legal fashion." he snaps.

She coughs a little looking suddenly embarrassed.

"I may have run off with some medical supplies? I did leave goods worth the cost it'd take to replace them behind but.... maybe someone got pissy? I mean I was sure I left an extra fifteen percent of what they'd need and for fuck's sake, it's one of the richest planets in the whole Sector. They can afford a little thieving now and then." She shrugs widely.

"I was taking them to Bule Fel. The colonyy got it bad by a plauge. Heard the reports about how bad shit is going down there..... Felt like helping out. If they get the supplies they'll be able to start up treatment. That way the slavers and raiders won't be able to hit 'em hard next time they make their rounds in the sector. They like waiting 'till the local GL is distracted by something else.... Hope I didn't do more harm than good." She looks thoughtful about that then concerned that she may have just done that.

In the distance, there's a bright flare in the sky.

Over Avalon's ring, Henry's voice comes up. //Hey, Blue, what do they put in those cores, anyway?//

"We can figure that out later." Avalon says in a tense tone to Henry. His eyes haven't left the Thangarian, and Henry can probably sense the seething anger from his partner's tone.

"I need you back planet-side. The captain of this vessel is disputing whatever charges she is facing, but we need you to know what the charges actually are." he goes on to explain to his partner.

"Urgh. If they want to charge with breaking and entering? They can. Maximum sentience on that world is a fine I can pay easy, maybe a two week cooling my heels period... longer if I get mouthy with a judge. They don't like lip from spacers," she's rolling her eyes.

"But I can show you all the intel I have. My computer should be fine. I'm not in the wrong here. It's an over reaction on their part."
