"What do you mean 45,000 TRCs? That's frakking hyper-space robbery ya pozer! What are ya trying to do, rob me," Sher snapped as she was arguing over the portal computer communications device. It looked like a very bulky looking lap top to those not used to some of the technology that came from way out there in space.

She argues back and fourth for the next ten minutes at the kitchen table trying to bring down the price. She knows damn well the sales man is trying to rob her the way he's wheeling and dealing with her and she's getting more angry by the minute.

"By the Seven Devils of..." She ;lets loose a level of profanity in Lower City Thangarian that would make most soldiers blush and puts her mace through the 'laptop'. When it dawns on her that she just wrecked it she deflates and loses some of the wind from hr sails.

"Aw Hells. I'm boned."

Henry sits at his desk, looking through the stacks of books at his desk. The essay might be due in another week, but he never knows what might come up that will require his attention.

When his phone rings, he sets his book down and picks up the line.

"Psychic Pizza; we know when you're hungry. Your large pizza will be delivered within 30 minutes or you get a free tarot reading with the delivery."

"Hey," that would of course be Sher. She has gotten comfortable with English.

"I'm having a really bad day." She snorts and ruffles her feathers which he probably can't hear over the phone. "I ended up putting my mace through that portable unit I brought to the house. I'm having issues with a parts dealer."

And she's still in the mood to hit something but she has become conscious of how her Thanagarian temper might affect others in the Jordan house so she's been trying to not let her feelings burn so bright. Not working right now. She's still madder than hell.

"Hey, Sher..." he replies. "Um... crap. Want to hit the town or something?"

"I guess."

She had to stop herself from ranting. "I have another unit on my ship but I need a break. I'm too mad to start looking for another shop out there. I'm likely to start cussing every poor sales rep out at this point."

She'll behave or Henry. He and the others are good people.

"Meet me at the mall, then?" Henry suggests. "We can go mock the pretentious people, and get something to eat, and maybe get a movie or some clothes or something?"

"Hmmm. Any of that could be fun," she admits as she begins to move around to find a jacket she had left laying around the house somewhere. She'd want to have a jacket if she was going to the mall.

"Why don't we play it by ear? You know I ain't fussy."

She had only really gotten annoyed over school because no one had ever made her sit in a class room before. It was very alien for her.

"Sounds like a plan," Henry replies with a smirk. "Want me to come pick you up and give you a break from dealing with bullshit?"

She decides that sounds like another good idea. Henry often has them she has noticed and it's an agreeable plan on top of that. "Sounds good."

A few minutes later, and Henry's ringing the doorbell.

No, he didn't fly out here. He took the car. With the way Henry drives, that's almost faster.

"Come on, Red! We're totally distracting you from bullshit. Let's go!"

Honestly she'd likely be the same way with a car if she tried driving. That's likely why she stays away from anything ground based.

She's outside as quickly as she can looking very entertained for the moment. "All right... To be honest I've only been to this.... 'Mall' once. It's different."

Henry hops in the car and starts the engine, revving it for a moment before tearing down the street far faster than the car has any right to go.

"Yeah," he says casually, "but the clothes there are pretty awesome."

"....Earth clothing can be interesting," she agrees. "I'm fond of 'jeans'. They're comfortable."

She thought they were practical for when she couldn't quite get away with what she'd prefer to wear.

"Well, jeans are awesome -- particularly when they show off your ass," he smirks, wiggling his butt in the seat for illustration.

"And it is nice one," she says in a tone that sounds like it could be kidding but probably isn't.

He chuckles. "Well, I was speaking more generally, but..." He glances down to her butt in the passenger seat. "You're right. You do have a nice ass."

She's going to fight off a grin.

"I was talking about yours, twerl," the odd little Thanagarian word is said with friendly affection.

He grins back at her. "Well... it's true. I do have an absolutely fantastic ass."

"Can't argue with the truth."

Well they could but that'd be silly.
